2. What data we collect

We collect only the data we need to run our waitlist and our website. This falls into two groups.

Data you give us directly

  • Waitlist sign-ups: the email address you submit, and your first name if you choose to provide one.
  • Communications: the content of messages you send us through our contact form, by email, or by other channels.

Data collected automatically when you use the site

  • Technical data: your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system and language settings.
  • Usage data: the pages you view, links you click, time spent on pages, and the site that referred you.
  • Cookie and tag data: identifiers set by cookies and similar technologies, as described in section 5.

3. How and why we use your data

Under the GDPR we must have a lawful basis for each use of your data. The points below set out what we do and the basis for it.

To run the waitlist and send you updates

We use the email address and optional first name you give us to add you to the Nevienne waitlist and to send you updates about our progress and the future launch. Lawful basis: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time. See section 4.

To handle enquiries and provide support

We use your contact details and the content of your messages to respond to you and resolve issues. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in supporting people who contact us.

To operate, secure and improve our website

We use technical and usage data to keep the site working, protect it against fraud and abuse, and understand how it is used so we can improve it. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure and effective website. Where this involves non-essential cookies, we rely on your consent (see section 5).

To meet our legal obligations

We keep records as required by applicable law. Lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

4. Waitlist communications

If you join our waitlist, we will send you email updates about Nevienne and the future launch. Every waitlist email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by using that link or by emailing support@nevienne.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect any processing carried out before you withdrew it.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, to remember your choices, and to measure and improve performance. They fall into the following categories.

  • Essential cookies are needed for the site to function. They cannot be switched off in our systems.
  • Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. We use analytics providers, including Google, for this purpose.
  • Advertising cookies are set by advertising partners, including Meta, to measure campaign performance and show relevant ads.

Non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) are only used where you have given consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the banner settings, and you can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how the site works.

6. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with parties that help us run our website and waitlist, and only as far as needed. These include:

  • IT, hosting and email service providers - to host the website, store data securely and send waitlist emails.
  • Analytics and advertising partners - to measure and improve our website and marketing, subject to your cookie consent.
  • Professional advisers - such as accountants and legal advisers, where needed.
  • Authorities and regulators - where we are legally required to disclose data, or to protect our legal rights.

All providers acting on our behalf are bound by contract to process your data only on our instructions and to keep it secure.

7. International transfers

We aim to keep your data within the European Economic Area (EEA). Some of our service providers may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, we make sure an appropriate safeguard is in place, such as an adequacy decision by the European Commission or Standard Contractual Clauses, so that your data keeps an equivalent level of protection. You can ask us for more detail using the contact below.

8. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires.

  • Waitlist data is kept until you withdraw consent or ask us to delete it.
  • Enquiry and support messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the matter and a reasonable period afterwards.
  • Analytics data is kept for the retention period set with each analytics provider.

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights over your personal data:

  • Access - to be told whether we hold data about you and to receive a copy.
  • Rectification - to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
  • Erasure - to have your data deleted where there is no overriding reason to keep it.
  • Restriction - to limit how we use your data in certain situations.
  • Portability - to receive certain data in a portable format, or have it sent to another controller.
  • Objection - to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to object to direct marketing at any time.
  • Withdraw consent - to withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email dop@nevienne.com. We will respond within the time limits set by law, normally within one month. Exercising your rights is free of charge in most cases.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first, so please consider contacting us before doing so.

10. How we protect your data

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encryption in transit, access controls and working with reputable providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep protections appropriate to the risk.

11. Age restriction

Our website and products are intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Please review this page periodically.
